WHAT TO EXPECT

Coaching is an active, forward-looking process.

Whether coaching a team or a leader, the process requires openness, transparency, and commitment to doing the work to creatively build on what you or your team already does well to go to the next level.

Good coaching is grounded in trust.

Every coaching situation is unique, and it is in the relationship between client and coach that powerful shifts in perception, self-awareness, and mindset can occur.

For teams, the trust between members of the team is the catalyst for change.

I'm the facilitator.

You're the driver.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESS

If we agree to work together,

we establish a Coaching Agreement

that spells out the goals of the coaching engagement.

This agreement can be updated any time as you or your team discover new priorities and clearer objectives.

DISCOVERY starts the process.

For leaders, we assess where and who you are now. Your strengths, values and talents. How can you leverage those in new ways to fill in the gaps and

lead better?

For teams, I use a Systemic Team Coaching approach to assess five areas of team life to get a snapshot of where the team is now.

DESIRE follows.

For leaders, this is where you craft a specific, clearly articulated vision of what you desire from coaching. Coaching is effective only if you know where you're going.

For teams, the structured team assessment gives a clear picture of how the team is functioning in five areas. I work with the team leader and the team to make sense of the assessment and develop a meaningful agenda for the team coaching engagement.

DIGGING IN is the work.

The process of engaging with a coach requires honesty, reflection and vulnerability. This is essential if you want to grow to the next level. Embrace it and trust where it will lead you. Other times it will be exhilarating as you uncover hidden parts of yourself as the leader or incredible potential as a team. This process clarifies thinking, beliefs, and assumptions so you can uncover more possibilities, embark on new paths and overcome obstacles.

DOING is how you or your team manifest change.

Whether leader or team, you as the client determine the actions you will take to move forward using insights gained from the coaching. The commitment to act drives all change. You may start new habits, seek additional knowledge, shift relationships, take on new roles, or change priorities. A bias towards action energizes and can radically shift your reality

TRACY'S PROCESS

WORKING TOGETHER

For leaders, sessions typically occur weekly or bi-weekly in one-hour coaching conversations. The Coaching Agreement will clarify our session frequency, length, and timespan. This can be adjusted at any time. We can meet once, or we can meet for a year or more. It depends on what you want from the coaching and the pace you want to set. You decide. Fees are based on the scope of our engagement.

For teams, a typical engagement – after the team assessment has been completed – will take place over six to 12 months (depending on the scope) and will include:

  • Several off-site workshops to address on or more of the five dimensions of the team functioning

  • One-on-one coaching for members of the team

  • Observation and "coaching in the moment" by the coach(es) at your team's business-as-usual meetings to enhance the team's use of new processes, behaviors and ways of working together

*Any aspect of this can be modified to suit the unique needs of the team.

For teams, I typically work with a co-coach also trained in Systemic Team Coaching. This reflects a "best practices" approach to team coaching.

Fees for team coaching are based on the scope of the engagement. I also work with one or two non-profits each year on a pro-bono (discounted) basis.

"A good coach will catch you by surprise; otherwise you would be able to read "all about it" in the latest self-help book. Tracy is that kind of coach and helped me be curious, see things, feel things, think things and more importantly DO things that I wanted to do for my career and life.

"Tracy’s coaching has been instrumental in helping me navigate some really challenging business issues.  Her support and coaching capability provide me with the opportunity to determine what it is I truly want.  I always know that she is on my side and provides me with reminders of what I’ve accomplished as well as accountability check-ins.  With her help I have greater perspective of what I’ve done and where I’m headed.
