Hi,

I'm Tracy.

I coach people driven to make a real difference in the world in big ways and small. I specialize in service organizations, and work alongside leaders and teams who are ready to create environments that foster collaboration, shared learning, collective leadership, stakeholder input, and transparency.

I HELP YOU BRING TO LIFE THE HIGHEST VERSION OF YOURSELF AS A LEADER OR THE GREATEST POTENTIAL IN YOUR TEAM AS AN AGENT OF CHANGE.

I’m passionate about working with organizations willing to think differently about how to engage their teams to provide greater value to their stakeholders. I’m most interested in partnering with organizations with a deep commitment to contributing to a healthier, safer, more civil future – one that builds on what is good, inspiring, and beautiful about humanity and our world.

MY STORY

I once heard someone say that hell is meeting the best version of who you could have been.

It stopped me in my tracks.

I thought, that really would be hell! To realize I gave in, lived small, played it safe, let fear win. And never discovered who I could have become if I played full out. I resolved to never see that version of hell.

I'm an Idaho native and the oldest of seven children. My childhood taught me responsibility, teamwork, strategic thinking (lots of competition for scarce resources), patience and how to quiet myself amidst the noise and chaos. It is no surprise that my first real job, which launched a lifetime of service, was at an emergency shelter for abused youth. Within two years, I became the executive director (at 25).

Those early years were filled with typical business challenges – crafting a viable revenue stream, finding and keeping good people, developing a deep knowledge of the industry, creating partnerships to grow efficiencies, adjusting to regulatory changes, and of course, developing a service-oriented mindset. I found purpose early in my career, and it remains my north star. In the 17 years I led that organization, I quintupled the budget, expanded programming to enhance value to our clients, developed a strong brand and community presence with donors, and saved many kids’ lives. I can’t overstate how grateful I am for the opportunity to be a part of this organization.

Through this experience I learned the value of:

  • A bias towards action

  • The three pillars of strong organizations – great leadership, high performing teams, healthy culture

  • Personal integrity

  • Building teams that are greater than the sum of the individual members

  • Commitment to a shared purpose

  • Clarity of expectations and outcomes

In hindsight, I realize I thrive on learning and building things – organizations, teams, systems. I later served in many executive roles on the leadership team of a major nonprofit, again serving youth and families. My first career in the nonprofit world took me from technician, to manager, to entrepreneur.

For 24 years I played a lead role in helping the organization realign its business processes in the areas of:

  • Continuous Quality Improvement

  • Employee training and development

  • Customer (donor) Relationship Management systems

  • Revenue stream generation (fundraising strategies)

  • Strategic planning and review

I am happiest when I am connecting the dots from disparate sources to improve, streamline and shift systems to improve lives.

So, why should you consider me as your coach?

I’ve always been curious about what separates great organizations from those who struggle. I’m a life-long learner and have dedicated considerable time researching and experimenting with what works at the crossroads of people, systems, processes, management, and community. Transitioning my experience as an executive in the helping professions to a coaching career was a natural path to utilizing my skills and experience to benefit others.

I am passionate about creating a safe, healthy and sustainable world for those who come after us. This is the challenge of our lifetime. And we all have a role to play. I work with leaders whose values align with mine. This enables me to bring the best of me to your situation without hesitation.

I’m credentialed through the International Coach Federation (Associate Certified Coach), which means I’ve met an international bar for excellence and ethical behavior. I base my approach on the research of what works in coaching, utilize best practices from positive psychology, neuroscience, and decades of experience from the best coaches around. I hold a certificate from the Global Team Coaching Institute as a Team Coaching Foundations Certified Coach.

Most important, I will respect your time.

My approach is to zero in on the most important thing you want to work on and get rolling.

I would love to hear from you to explore the possibility of working together.
